Using Miva to create dynamic content

The Miva engine is included standard with all Manic accounts. The Miva engine makes server side scripting as easy as HTML, by allowing you to quickly develop interactive web pages that are 100% browser independent.

The Miva engine is best suited for those who are interested in developing dynamic content, but who are not already familiar with CGI. Miva also provides an easy-to-learn indexed database system which is compatible with several standard database formats.

Manic uses the CGI version of Miva with Apache-redirect. Miva data files appear in the /mvdata directory. The current version installed is Miva 3.72
